Hi! My name is John H. Llewellyn (he/they) and I am an actor, director, and choreographer, and educator. I recently graduated with dual degrees from the Commonwealth Honors College at UMass Amherst in Theater (B.A.) and English (B.A.).

When I was in the second grade, I saw my sister in our elementary school's play, I was immediately hooked. As she walked down the aisle of our school's cafetorium wearing a feather boa, I knew this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Since then, I have found every possible way to get myself in a theatrical space.

During my undergraduate career, I got to dive into my two greatest passions: acting and directing. As a director, I started my journey in a scene study class taught by Jen Onopa. While gaining an academic understanding of the craft, I began pursuing my own passion projects.  My honors thesis in Directing, Choreography, and Producing, Andrew Lippa's The Wild Party, unfortunately, fell victim to the great wave of cancellations from the COVID-19 pandemic.

After graduating, I began teaching, directing, and choreographing at many schools across Massachusetts, including Wayland, Framingham, and Melrose.

I made my professional stage debut at the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park as a part of their educational touring company. I was also lucky enough to be an Acting and Education Intern, where I did teaching artist residencies in local schools, and taught as an instructor and director for their summer camp programming.

When I'm not in a theater or a class room, you can find me with a Medium Iced Mocha from Dunkin' taking on a new sewing project, watching a horror movie, playing Pokemon, or being terrorized by my cat Freddy Kruger.
